Our Delivery Charges

All prices listed on our website include delivery fees. No extra delivery charges will be added at checkout, except for deliveries to certain remote areas. In those cases, a fixed additional fee will be charged at the checkout to cover courier costs. The delivery fee for these remote locations depends on the weight of the order, and larger orders may require us to contact you for additional payment. The listed prices cover deliveries up to 15kg. If you're unsure about the cost, we recommend reaching out to us for an accurate quote to avoid any surprises. Courier delivery to these areas typically takes two to five days.

Tracking Your Order?

You will receive an email or SMS notification from our delivery partner advising the delivery date and time slot. Your order will also show as 'Completed' in the 'Manage Orders' section in your online account.

Once you have received communication from the courier you can track or amend your delivery. If you want to change a delivery date or leave in a safe place it is your responsibility to do this.

What is the delivery lead time?

The delivery lead time for all of our products is published on each product page. As a rule of thumb it is up to 5 working days to dispatch from proof approval with the exception of some items indicated on the website. Delivery is generally made the next working day after dispatch* via express courier, Royal Mail First Class or our own vans. Whilst we only use reputable couriers we cannot be held liable for any delays caused by the courier - sadly that is out of our control!

* Delivery to Highlands and Islands will take 2-5 days from dispatch.

 

Can I upgrade my delivery?

Yes, you can upgrade your delivery to the following services. These options are not available for online ordering—please contact us or specify your choice in the additional information box during checkout. A member of the A Local Printer customer service team will then contact you to collect the additional payment once your order is being processed.

Next working day by 10.30am: £25.00
Next working day by noon: £20.00
Saturday delivery: £35.00
Multiple next day deliveries: £15.00 for each additional address

VAT is not included in all these prices. These options represent enhanced delivery services that add to the standard delivery time—they are not express printing services. Please note, these services are not available for delivery to the Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, or the Channel Islands.

Do you ship outside of the UK?

We may ship outside the UK, but this is an additional service with costs based upon weight, value and contents of the consignment. Please contact us for more information.

What if I miss my delivery?

On your delivery day, our courier will send you an email or SMS with a specified time slot and options to reschedule your delivery. Use the links provided to change the delivery date or request that your packages be left in a safe location. We also recommend leaving a clear note for the courier as they usually comply gladly. If no one is available to sign when the courier arrives, they will leave a calling card with a phone number. You can then call this number to arrange a new delivery time directly with the courier. 

Can I change my order and delivery address?

Once you've completed checkout, your order will start the production process. Changes to the order, especially regarding printing, might not be possible once production has begun. If you need to update the delivery address, we can typically make adjustments if your order is still 'in progress.' For any changes, including the delivery address, please send your instructions in writing to info@alp-group.co.uk, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

My order has not arrived. What do I do?

First, visit the courier’s website using the details from the text message about your delivery slot. The website will show whether your order is out for re-delivery or left with a neighbour. If issues persist, contact us, and we will help track your order.

Is your packaging branded for The School Printer? Can I have ‘plain cover’ delivery?

Our delivery notes and packaging will feature some branding. If you are a re-seller and want an unbranded delivery, please select the ‘plain delivery’ option at checkout. Choosing this option will ensure no mention of our company name appears on any labels or boxes.
